What exactly is included?
Ask the provider to describe the finished result and the individual tasks covered by the quote. Clarify exclusions too. Two quotes can look similar while covering very different amounts of work.
- ✓Specific tasks and deliverables
- ✓Preparation and cleanup
- ✓Disposal or haul-away
- ✓Anything specifically excluded
Are materials and travel included?
Confirm who purchases materials, whether pickup time is included, and how substitutions will be handled. Ask about travel or service-area charges when the listing covers a wide region.
What could change the final price?
Some conditions cannot be confirmed until work begins. Ask the provider to identify likely unknowns and agree that additional work requires your approval. A revised quote should describe both the price change and the added scope.
- ✓Condition-based charges
- ✓Hourly work beyond the estimate
- ✓Material price changes
- ✓Approval before extra work begins
What happens if plans change?
Review the cancellation and no-show terms, the expected duration, and how delays will be communicated. Keep the accepted quote and later changes in the booking conversation so both sides can refer to the same information.
