Provider payments, fees, and payouts explained
Learn when customers pay, how plan booking fees affect your share, and why a Stripe payout may not reach your bank immediately.

Customers pay through Stripe
After you confirm a booking, the customer pays through Stripe Checkout. A provider cannot mark the work complete until that payment succeeds. The customer sees the service price plus a separate $2.99 BubsBookings service fee at checkout; that customer fee does not reduce the service price used to calculate your share.
Your plan determines the provider booking fee
Starter deducts a 10% BubsBookings platform fee with a maximum of $200 from the service price. Pro deducts 6%, with a maximum of $100 per booking, and has a $9.99 monthly subscription after any eligible trial. Stripe processing costs are separate from the platform fee and finalize from the actual Stripe charge. Your Revenue and booking details show the recorded provider share.

Paid does not always mean paid out
BubsBookings uses separate charges and delayed marketplace transfers. The customer charge is created on the BubsBookings Stripe platform account, while the eligible provider transfer is created later. After the customer pays, the provider share can remain held until eligible completion. Once the customer confirms completion, or the 48-hour review period passes without a dispute, BubsBookings may initiate the transfer. Stripe then controls availability and bank payout timing. This process is not an escrow, trust, deposit, or bank account.
Some events pause or reverse release
An incomplete Stripe account, open refund or BubsBookings dispute, payment failure, Stripe chargeback, administrative hold, or legal restriction can delay a transfer. An open BubsBookings dispute freezes an unreleased provider payout until an administrator decides the case. A Stripe bank chargeback also freezes unreleased provider funds when Stripe sends the chargeback event to BubsBookings. If the bank closes that chargeback in the platform’s favor, the booking returns to the normal release process; if the bank upholds it, the held provider payout is not released. A payout that was already transferred requires administrator review and may require a Stripe transfer reversal.
